What our clients say
Right people for the job
Precision FM now provide us with a full range of services. I am confident that they’ll source the right people for the job and with only one point of contact, it really takes away the previous headache of having to manage a variety of contractors.
Liam McKayHead of Operations, The Physiological Society
Customer focus
From the start, it was evident that their primary focus was on the customer with their CEO present at review meetings to ensure a smooth transition from the previous supplier. To say this was seamless is an understatement as the FM function continued to operate without any issues. The openness on cost management and the provision of detailed information for our client VW is a massive plus compared to the three previous FM providers on this site.

We’re looking for experienced partners to support our clients
At Precision Facilities Management, the quality of our service depends on the people delivering it. Every contractor in our supply chain goes through a structured selection and approval process before they are allowed to work on a client site.
Contractor recruitment and vetting, step by step
- Stage 1
Sourcing
We find new contractors mainly through recommendations from trusted partners, approved trade bodies and recognised accreditation schemes. We look for specialists with a proven track record in commercial environments similar to those of our clients.
- Stage 2
Pre-qualification
Each prospective contractor completes our pre-qualification questionnaire. This covers company details, health and safety policy, environmental and quality procedures, and relevant experience. We give preference to contractors who hold SSIP accreditation such as CHAS, SafeContractor or Constructionline, as well as ISO 9001, 14001 or 45001 certification.
- Stage 3
Competence and compliance checks
We verify all trade-specific qualifications and registrations, including Gas Safe, NICEIC or NAPIT, F-Gas, BAFE and IPAF or PASMA where relevant. We also confirm that operatives have up-to-date training such as asbestos awareness and manual handling.
- Stage 4
Insurance and financial checks
Contractors must provide evidence of employers’ liability, public liability and, where appropriate, professional indemnity insurance at levels that meet our minimum requirements. We review their financial standing and check their records at Companies House.
- Stage 5
References and people checks
We take references from current commercial clients. We confirm right to work for all operatives and arrange DBS or site-specific security clearance where a client requires it. Contractors must also commit to our standards on modern slavery, data protection and ethical conduct.
- Stage 6
Approval and onboarding
Once a contractor passes these checks, they are added to our approved supplier list. Before starting work, they receive a Precision induction, sign up to our code of conduct and submit risk assessments and method statements for review.
- Stage 7
Ongoing monitoring
Approval is not a one-off exercise. We track the expiry of every certificate and insurance policy, carry out regular site audits and measure performance against agreed KPIs. Every contractor is formally reviewed each year, and anyone who falls below our standards is either put on an improvement plan or removed from our supply chain.
Our Safe Contractor Vetting Scheme is what ensures our ongoing and continued success. If you’re interested in becoming a supply chain partner for Precision FM, email supplychain@precisionfm.co.uk or fill in the contact form at the foot of this page.
New suppliers will be evaluated via our Safe Contractor Vetting Scheme to ensure operational safety and quality. We aim to foster a strong, ethical supply chain that meets our and our clients’ goals. We welcome partnerships that align with our commitment to quality, sustainability and performance.
